My intention was to see if that would remove the driver, and then I would re-reinstall it. Previously I had gone to C:\drivers\Intel Bluetooth Driver and run the "autorun" program, as directed at the above link. I went to C:\drivers\Intel Bluetooth Driver\Win10 and ran setup and selected to remove the driver. I'm writing what I did because there are so many posts about bluetooth getting screwed up after Windows update. It said I didn't have permissions, even when I redid it and "run as administrator." So then I once again downloaded the current driver, and have installed and rebooted, but at this point, Bluetooth doesn't even show in Device Manager as hidden. It might also be a good idea to disable Windows updates, or at least create your own Restore Point prior to installing the updates so that you can roll back if needed.
The above will install the original Lenovo Bluetooth driver and fix your issue. (If it asks to remove a previous installation, let it do so, reboot the PC and repeat steps 3-4. The install app said I already had it installed, but I selected to repair the installation. Then I went to the Lenovo website and downloaded the driver. I went to the updates settings and uninstalled the updates dated today. At first, device manager didn't show bluetooth in it, until I show hidden
The bluetooth troubleshooter says my computer doesn't have bluetooth. Bluetooth settings says bluetooth is off at each device, but there's no bluetooth on/off at the top of the screen, there is no bluetooth in the "action center."
I let Windows updates install.Īfter update, no bluetooth. This morning bluetooth on my computer (Lenovo Yoga 2) worked.
